A survey of the National Statistical Institute reoports on growth in industrial production, construction and retail trade in July 2017. The industrial production index in July increased with 4.2% year on year and the construction production index marked a 7.9% increase year on year. The turnover in retail trade increased slightly with 0.3% on an annual basis and partly made up for the 0.5% decrease registered in June. Experts comment that the July results are a good sign for the development of Bulgaria’s economy in the third quarter of 2017. The country’s gross domestic product increased with 3.6% in the second trimester.
