Minister Karanikolov discusses investment opportunities with representatives of Germany’s economy

Germany is strategic and leading trade partner of Bulgaria and the German companies are reliable investors, because they have long-term commitments in that country, Bulgaria’s Minister of Economy Emil Karanikolov said in Sofia at a meeting with representatives of the German Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations. Over 200 companies are members of that committee which represents the interests of the German companies in 21 countries in the eastern part of Europe. Trade between Germany and Bulgaria was evaluated highly during the meeting. Bilateral trade between the two countries reached record-high levels in 2016 and amounted to EUR 6.637 billion. According to expectations, the trade between Germany and Bulgaria will hit new records in 2017.
