President Rumen Radev: Bulgaria needs a strong navy

“It is essential for Bulgaria to have a strong navy to uphold its military sovereignty, but also to guarantee its economic and energy interests,” said President Rumen Radev in Bourgas.

The Bulgarian head of state specified that by a “strong navy” he means new technology, highly-trained personnel, good training conditions, motivation, social prestige. In the words of the president, the importance of the Black Sea region is constantly growing because it is a point where increasing geopolitical interests intersect.
