Bulgarians spend twice as less on holidays compared to average EU citizens

Eurostat's analysis of spending of Europeans during holidays or vacations in 2015 shows that Bulgarians spend for this purpose an average of 160 Euro per person, or two times less than the EU average. 

80 per cent of Bulgarians have spent their vacation in their homeland, about 15 per cent  went abroad, and nearly 5 per cent have made trips in the country and abroad, figures show.

The holiday and recreation costs of the Luxembourg residents are the highest - an average of 740 Euros. Austria follows with 610 euros and Malta is next with 590 Euros.
