EC welcomes good neighbor agreement between Bulgaria and Macedonia

The European Commission welcomes the agreement on friendship, good neighbor relations and cooperation signed between Bulgaria and Macedonia on Tuesday, a joint statement of the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini and EU Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn reads. The two countries show their willingness to solve their bilateral problems through this agreement. The signature of the good neighbor agreement is an example for all other Balkan countries, the joint statement of Federica Mogherini and Johannes Hahn further reads. This agreement is a positive step forward with the development of the neighbor relations and boosts Macedonia’s EU perspective, which favors the Macedonian citizens, Johannes Hahn and Federica Mogherini further point out.
