Sofia and Athens to support Serbia’s EU bid

After the trilateral meeting in Thessaloniki between the Prime Ministers of Greece and Bulgaria – Alexis Tsipras and Boyko Borissov with the President of Serbia Alexander Vucuc, PM Borissov announced that Sofia and Athens have decided to provide maximum assistance for the admission of Serbia to the EU. Voicing satisfaction with the transport corridor projects, which are to link the three countries, Bulgaria’s Premier commented that the model of former Yugoslavia should not be repeated and that each country on the Balkans should have direct access to any other. In Thessaloniki Borissov and Tsipras convened on a joint government session between Bulgaria and Greece end October.
