The Bulgarian Food Safety Agency has ascertained there are differences in the quality of some foods and beverages on sale in Bulgaria and in some countries of Western Europe.
Soft drinks and fruit juices, dairy and meat products, baby food and confectionery were subjected to testing and the resulting data confirm that leading world manufacturers are marketing products in the same packaging but with a difference in quality in Western and in Eastern Europe.
“It is important to know that the comparative study was of identical products of identical brands and the same product name on sale in Bulgaria as well as in Central and in Western Europe,” said Lyubomir Kulinski of the Food Safety Agency.
