French President Emmanuel Macron to visit Bulgaria in August

At a meeting in Paris the French President Emmanuel Macron and Bulgaria’s Premier Boyko Borissov discussed EU topics related to the forthcoming Presidency of the Republic of Bulgaria of the Council of the European Union as well as the efforts of that country to enter the Eurozone waiting room. It became clear after the meeting that Emmanuel Macron will pay a visit to Bulgaria in August this year. Premier Borissov specified that during his visit to Bulgaria President Macron will get acquainted with the protection of the land and the Black Sea borders of the Schengen Area. Later on Tuesday Premier Borissov is to meet in Berlin the President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier. On Wednesday Boyko Borissov will meet with the German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
