Welcome to Heartbeat Bulgaria, Radio Bulgaria’s daily webcast!

The stories this Saturday:

·  First, enthusiasts are bracing for a march following into the steps of the Hristo Botev detachment from Kozloduy to Okolchitsa Peak in Northwestern Bulgaria, to commemorate the tragic events on 2 June 1976;

·  Next, the story of an offbeat school in the village of Seydol in Northeastern Bulgaria – learn more about its practices from its principal Dinko Hristov;

·  Finally, we revisit one of the most renowned Bulgarian families of modern time, of writers Petko and Pencho Slaveykov, father and son, who contributed largely in different ways though, to the development of Bulgarian literature in the late 19 and early 20 c.
