Bulgaria is first in EU when number of deaths in car crashes are concerned

Bulgaria is again number one in the EU when number of deaths in car accidents are concerned. The main benchmark of road safety in Europe is the number of road deaths per million inhabitants, and according to this criterion in 2016 this country was at the top of the list with 99.7 deaths per 1 million people. It is even more alarming that the recent trend of this indicator rising has been kept. The average figures ​​for the EU are - 49,99 killed per 1 million inhabitants, according to the Union of Bulgarian Motorists.
