Bulgaria and Romania join forces in fight against VAT fraud

Representatives of Bulgarian and Romanian tax authorities have met in Vidin and agreed on joint measures to combat tax fraud. They got acquainted with the procedures at the Danube Bridge 2 border checkpoint and with possibilities for improving the effectiveness of control.

Additional opportunities to improve the exchange of information for more effective use of the bilateral cooperation agreement were also discussed. The aim is to strengthen cooperation in the field of VAT fraud and transportation of hazardous goods, the National Revenue Agency reported.
