The Bulgarian press today pays attention to the meeting of the President with the Prosecutor General and the heads of the special services in connection with the expulsion of three Turkish citizens and the situation related to the parliamentary elections coming on Sunday.

President Rumen Radev surprisingly called Prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov, SANS head Dimitar Georgiev and head of the Intelligence State Agency, Dragomir Dimitrov, Trud reported. The presidency announced that this was "another working meeting dedicated to the holding of early parliamentary elections and the security of the country", the daily writes. But according to anonymous sources of "Trud," heads of departments reported on several topics. One of them was the tense relations between the European Union and Turkey. Another issue discussed was the attempted intervention of Ankara officials in the campaign for parliamentary vote on March 26th. Information was also provided on three Turkish citizens who were trying to interfere in Bulgaria’s domestic affairs.

The Sega Daily writes that the meeting was held a day after it became clear that the State Agency for National Security had imposed measures on three Turkish citizens who were posing a threat to national security. After the talks participants declined to comment on the topic, the article reads. Sega adds that so far there has been no official reaction from Ankara, but CNN Turk TV predicted possible complications in the relations between the two countries. "Standard" quotes former intelligence chief Dimo Ghiaurov, according to whom one of the expelled Turkish citizens was a secretary of the Edirne governor. This is Ibrahim Taranci, secretary general of the regional administration. According to Ghiaurov, calling for autonomy of an area was a crime against the sovereignty of the state.
