Urgent inspection of all tunnels in Bulgaria ordered

The chairman of the board of the Road Infrastructure Agency has ordered urgent inspections of all road tunnels and facilities in the country by Friday.

The order comes after a fatal incident took place in Echemishka tunnel on Hemus motorway, when a woman was killed and a man injured when a corroded metal lamp beam fell on top of their car. There are a total of 28 road tunnels in Bulgaria.
