Bulgaria’s National Assembly did not annul the decision on suspension of Belene nuclear power plant project, made on March 29, 2012, Focus news agency informs. 50 MPs voted in favor of the draft decision which envisaged that the ban should be lifted and the Belene NPP project should be revived. 64 MPs voted against and 24 MPs abstained. Thus, the draft decision which was tabled to Parliament by the Bulgarian Socialist Party was rejected.  According to the draft decision, the country’s Council of Ministers had to be assigned with the task to guarantee the fulfillment of the project and the Minister of Energy had to provide information in public once in every three months about the stage of the fulfillment of that project.
