Mountain Rescue Service warns tourists about frostbite and avalanche risk

The Bulgarian Mountain Rescue Service has warned tourists and skiers about the danger of avalanches and frostbite, especially in the high mountains. Mountain rescuers called on people to keep to the marked ski runs and hiking routes.

The weather in Bulgarian mountains is quite cold and temperatures range between minus 14 and minus 18 degrees ℃, it was reported.

Tourists going to the mountains should be well prepared and equipped, rescuers also said.
