The increase of the minimum wages is expected to reduce the poverty risk among employed Bulgarians. The minimum hourly rate will become EUR 1.42. In 2017 the poverty line in Bulgaria will be set at EUR 160.55, which is EUR 7.16 more as compared to 2016.
