After consultations between incumbent President Rosen Plevneliev and representatives of the parliamentary group of the ABV (Alternative for Bulgarian Revival), the party’s deputy-chairman Rumen Petkov stated that no new cabinet can be formed under the current National Assembly.
The ABV told the president that the right thing for him to do was to set about structuring a caretaker cabinet as quickly as possible. The party added that it would be a mistake for this parliament to discuss or adopt a new set of election rules and that the best time to hold early elections for parliament is the end of March and the beginning of April.
