“Bank crediting of the NGO sector in Bulgaria is growing for the first time since the Corporate Commercial Bank went bankrupt, indicate Bulgarian National Bank figures,” writes Capital Daily in a front page article. The reasons for this lie in the activation of lower interest rates, the successful completion of the stress tests of Bulgarian banks and the economic growth, the paper adds.

On its part Capital Daily writes: “Outgoing Economy Minister Bozhidar Lukarski in a frenzy to reshuffle members of boards of directors.” The LB Bulgaricum state consolidation company for the production and export of yogurt starter, know -how and technologies and the National Industrial Zones Company have new management. The paper adds that there will be reshuffles at VMZ Sopot and Kintex, both of them companies working in the military sphere.

“We are losing millions from illegal trade in vegetables,” writes Vladimir Ivanov, Chair of the Commodity Exchanges and Wholesale Markets State Commission for Trud newspaper. “We have “players” who register as farmers but sell products coming from all kinds of different destinations, including from Bulgaria. The only Bulgarian scientific research ship “Academic” used by scientists from the Institute of Oceanology to discover valuable artifacts on the sea bed will not be decommissioned. The Council of Ministers is allocating 500,000 euro for repairs of the vessel. Though it is 37 years old, the ship is seaworthy for another 10 at least, today’s newspapers notes.
