Between January and August 2016 Bulgaria’s exports to the EU increased with 4.8% as compared to the same period last year to the tune of EUR 10,175 billion, the National Statistical Institute informs. Meanwhile, imports from the EU in the period January-August 2016 increased with 1.1% year on year and amounted to EUR 11 billion. Exports to non-EU countries in the first nine months of 2016 decreased with 12% to EUR 5.4 billion and imports from non-EU countries dwindled by 11.6% to EUR 6.216 billion.
