In an interview for BBC, Bulgaria’s President Rossen Plevneliev accused Russia that of trying to weaken and disunite Europe. President Plevneliev contends in that interview that Russia’s President Vladimir Putin was trying to make other countries dependent on Russia and specified that he did not mean a conventional war. The main instruments used by Moscow are related to provision of sponsorship to populist and radical parties, broad propaganda and cyberattacks. The cyberattack against the servers of the Central Election Commission last autumn was an attack against Bulgaria and democracy and it was most likely managed by Russia, President Plevneliev also claims in the interview for BBC.
