Third day of miners’ protests underground because of unpaid wages

Workers from the "Babino” Mine, which is part of the Bobov Dol Mine Complex, continue to protest over delayed wages and unpaid meal vouchers. According to trade unions, owners of the mine plan laying off 600 out of 700 employees. Protests of about a hundred miners underground have been continuing for a third day in a row now. The other workers in the mine have been protesting in front of the company gates. The owner says there will be lawsuits against protesting miners for loss of earnings for the enterprise, it was reported.
