Four new companies show interest in Bulgaria- Greece gas interconnection project

Four new companies showed interest in the gas interconnection project between Bulgaria and Greece and would like to book a capacity at the second phase of the market test-the procedure aimed at finding companies which would transit gas and use the capacity of the gas pipe, Bulgaria’s Minister of Energy Temenuzhka Petkova said at a meeting in Sofia with Greece’s Minister of Environment, Energy and Climate Change Panos Skurletis. The gas interconnection betwen Bulgaria and Greece should start functioning by end 2019. Panos Skurletis expressed his satisfaction with the development of the project and with the fact that new companies showed interest to join the project and transit large quantities of gas.
