PM Borissov calls for closing borders and for creating migrant hotspots outside EU

During a mini-summit on migrant issues that was held in Vienna, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov called for closing the external EU borders and for creating security zones in third countries, for example in Libya. We should close the borders and move the hotspots outside the EU, the Bulgarian Prime Minister told reporters. Borissov added that the risk of a new wave of migrants should not be underestimated. Illegal migration should be stopped and this must become a priority for the EU, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said after the forum.
