In September 2016 the musicians from Horizont rock band have started their national tour under the motto Sing "Obicham te" ( I Love You) in Bulgarian. The guitarist and front man of the band Valeri Slavchev told Radio Bulgaria details about that autumn tour:

“The cause is in support of Bulgarian language and music. It also encourages the national radio stations to play more Bulgarian music. In December 2015 we started to work under a series of concerts from that campaign. It starts in September and covers the cities of Pleven, Pazardzhik, Varna, Ruse, Samokov, Sofia, Plovdiv and Stara Zagora. Local musicians from the abovementioned cities have been also joining the campaign. We received support by many colleagues such as Joro Yanakiev from Signal band, as well as by Atlas, Sprint, Fandango and Renegat bands, etc. I would like to remind that all songs which became music hits over the years were sung in Bulgarian language. It is not worthy to sing in another language, if we write and perform music directed to the Bulgarian audience. Sing I Love You in Bulgarian is the motto of that campaign. Why I Love You? Because, when we communicate with each other, we say that phrase in Bulgarian, but we usually sing it in English in our songs. We believe that this is not right. Of course, people have the right and the freedom to express themselves in music the way they like. I and my colleagues from Horizont band expressed our own stand and we have already received support by many Bulgarian musicians from all parts of the country. Our goal is to persuade the local radio stations to play more Bulgarian music and I believe that all Bulgarian musicians want the same thing. I hope that our campaign will continue in 2017 and we are to visit other Bulgarian cities as well. We would like to thank all Bulgarian municipalities which stood behind that idea. That is why we are planning to continue with the project in May next year. I would like to appeal to all young Bulgarian musicians, who are just starting their music career, to write their songs in their native language. The Bulgarian audience will be the biggest winner, if we manage to do so. ”

The musicians from Horizont band also support in they cause the high-quality and meaningful Bulgarian lyrics which influence positively the young Bulgarian generation, thus opposing to the obscene lyrics of some popular Bulgarian musicians.
