Announcements in some Bulgarian media that Russia has agreed to support another Bulgarian nominee for UN General Secretary instead of the officially nominated UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova do not correspond with reality, the spokesperson of Russian President Vladimir Putin Dmitry Peskov said on Sunday, quoted by TASS agency. Peskov denied speculations that President Putin and German Chancellor Merkel agreed on such a step during the latest G20 summit in China.
