Bulgaria’s Armed Forces should be more involved in protection of state borders

Bulgaria’s Armed Forces should be more involved in the protection of the state borders, the leader of the Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization Krasimir Karakachanov said on Sunday in an interview for the Bulgarian National Radio. The number of military men deployed at the state borders is quite insufficient, Karakachanov added. The Bulgarian army can contribute a lot more to the protection of the borders. Illegal migration poses the biggest threat over the national security. Bulgaria should have a completely new policy on the migration problem. In my view, all illegal immigrants detained at the state borders must be accommodated in migrant centers similar to the one in Busmantsi and later sent back. The leader of IMRO will run for President at the forthcoming Presidential elections.
