Premier Boyko Borissov and President of the European Council Donald Tusk discuss forthcoming EU Summit in phone conversation

Bulgaria’s Premier Boyko Borissov and the President of the European Council Donald Tusk discussed in a phone conversation the preparation of the EU Summit which will be held on September 16 in Slovakia’s capital Bratislava. The President of the EU Council Donald Tusk pointed out that the main topic of discussion during the forthcoming summit will regard the migrant crisis in Europe. Premier Borissov informed Donald Tusk about the topical situation along Bulgaria’s border and about the measures taken against illegal immigrants who try to enter the European Union. Premier Borissov reaffirmed his position that the EU member states and Turkey must join efforts to fulfill their bilateral agreements and engagements.
