“For around one week USA will join the air policing mission over Bulgaria," said Bulgarian Defence Minister Nikolay Nenchev. “At its sitting today the Council of Ministers made a decision for joint air policing with USA from September 9 to 16. This is a peace-time mission endorsed by NATO, by our partners,” the Bulgarian Defence Minister said. “Two American aircraft will patrol our airspace, alongside the Bulgarian pilots. The cost of the mission will be covered fully by USA.”
