Gabriela Petrova has remained outside the final in the triple jump held on the first day of the Olympic track-and-field tournament in Rio de Janeiro. She jumped 13.92 m in her third jump, and this was the best from her today. Petrova finished 11^th in Group B of the qualifications and is 22^nd in the final rankings. The winner is the silver medalist from London 2012 Caterine Ibarguen (Colombia) with 14.52 m, followed by Paraskevi Papachristou (Greece) with 14.43 m and Olga Rypakova (Kazakhstan) with 14.39 m.
