Bulgaria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs: situation in Turkey remains volatile

On occasion of the meeting organized by the opposition Republican People's Party in Turkey, Bulgaria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has warned that the situation in that country remained quite volatile. The measures of the Turkish authorities related to the state of emergency do not affect directly the security of the Bulgarian citizens. However, all citizens should be able to present valid IDs upon request and those who fail to prove their identity are subject to arrests. The Bulgarian citizens must follow strictly the instructions of the Turkish Police, the announcement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs further reads.
