Bulgaria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs is warning on its web site that the situation in neighboring Turkey remains unstable. The Turkish security forces are holding a series of operations. As a result, tension in Turkey may escalate again and new threats for the physical security of the citizens may occur. Meanwhile, a lot of street processions and activities are held in many Turkish cities and the level of risk remains high. That is why the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises the Bulgarian citizens to refrain from travelling to Turkey until the situation in that country gets back to normal and those who are already in Turkey are advised to avoid visiting public places in Turkey’s largest cities.
