Take a look around. You are most likely sitting in a room or sharing personal space at public transport. You are working or going to work, always in a hurry and with a ringing phone. However, is this how you would like to spend most of your day, imprisoned in a box and breathing the dry A/C air? You think there is no other option, but you are wrong.

Just a few days ago an initiative of the Credo Bonum Foundation turned a garden downtown Sofia, inaccessible till recently, into a shared work space. In the period July 13 – 22 the garden is at the disposal of anyone, willing to exchange an office for urban nature. Mr. Simeon Vasilev, a representative of the Credo Bonum Foundation tells us more on the idea itself and what else the working piece of haven can offer:

“The idea was to reconsider the working process – are we more productive in between four walls and set working hours, or could we be much more valuable to our employer within some environment which makes us really more relaxed and creative? Open Air Office is an open invitation for a dialogue, subjected something like: what is the image of the working spaces of the future? My personal experience has pointed at much easier task fulfillment in terms of email writing and phone talks in the course of the past couple of days.”

The open air office provides all facilities that you can have in a real office. The organizers have taken care of high-speed Wi-Fi and electricity for your mobile devices. The garden offers various spots for stretching, lying down or even sunbathing. The main purpose of the activity is to show the benefits of working among nature, related to stress reduction and better health. The work within this piece of nature will reduce stress and will make you more creative.

“You don’t get distracted here,” Simeon Vasilev says and invites us. “You should try it out and you will see that it is much easier to concentrate on your work, being more relaxed at the same time. Of course, the freedom to step out of the office is related to a certain type of professions. We will monitor closely the profile of people, coming here and their activity. Any media, art and advertisement-related jobs can easily find their place with us.”

Open Air Office welcomes employees over each working day and after the latter’s end evening events are provided under the motto Let’s Meet after Work. You are welcome too.
