Nearly two-thirds of the Bulgarian citizens are against Bulxit

If a referendum on Bulgaria’s membership in the EU was held now in that country, 61% of the people would vote for and 20% of them would vote against Bulgaria’s membership to that union. 19% are still undecided, shows data of the regular independent public opinion survey made by Gallup International. The survey was held between July 1 and 7 in all Bulgarian districts only several days after the UK citizens decided that their country should leave the EU. Most Bulgarian citizens continue to trust the European Union. On the eve of the referendum in the UK, 11% of the Bulgarian nationals thought that the result of that referendum would affect their lives and 67% were of the opposite opinion. However, now 51% of the Bulgarians believe that Brexit would affect their lives and only 30% share the opposite opinion.
