The prosecution and the justice ministry demand transparency, regarding the analysis that is being carried out by EU experts on the work of the Bulgarian prosecution. The request for the dropping of the confidentiality clause has been sent to the Structural Reform Support Service with the EC, Prosecutor General Sotir Tsatsarov has said. “There will be time when these reports must become public, otherwise the whole mission will be pointless,” he underlined. The initial mission of the EU experts is within the frameworks of this week and it will be followed by several working visits. Then the experts will have to prepare a special report, assessing the effectiveness of the Bulgarian prosecution, regarding the fight with corruption and organized crime, its structure, assignments and the career development of the prosecutors.
