Dual education in Bulgaria makes progress

The Second national conferencefor the development of vocationaleducationin Bulgariais underway in Sofiaaimed to help deal with the problems of youth unemployment and the deficit of staff for businesses. At the conference’s opening President Rosen Plevneliev remarked that the country had already seen progress in terms of vocational education and the number of schools and companies who had joined the Swiss dual education program had been growing. Minister of Education Meglena Kuneva presented a roadmap of vocational schools in the country providing information about the kinds of professional portfolios, the number of pupils trained in them and the shape of their bases.
