Premier Borissov inspects construction of new fence on Bulgaria-Turkey border

The agreement between Bulgaria and Turkey on returning foreign nationals who cross illegally the state border ensured calm for Bulgaria, Premier Boyko Borissov said. Premier Borissov inspected on Sunday the process of construction of the new border fence at the Bulgarian-Turkish border. He was accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister for Coalition Policy and Public Administration and Minister of Interior Rumiana Bachvarova, Bulgaria’s Minister of Defense Nikolay Nenchev, the Chairperson of the Patriotic Front Valeri Simeonov and Deputy Ambassador of Great Britain to Bulgaria Sarah Riley. Premier Borissov thanked his British counterpart David Cameron for the donation of the 40 SUVs negotiated during Cameron’s last visit to Bulgaria.
