Bulgarian chess grandmaster Kiril Georgiev has won for a fourth year in a row the title in the Karpos Open chess tournament in Skopje, the capital of Macedonia. Georgiev scored 7.5 points from nine games. Dmitry Svetushkin (Moldova) is next with 7 points followed by Danyyil Dvirnyy, Italy, 7 points. 206 chess players from 25 countries joined the tournament, of them 15 Bulgarians. The Karpos Open prize fund is worth ER 10,000 and it was held in nine rounds according to the Swiss system.
