Borders with Turkey: part of EU-Ankara deal

The European Union member states should take into account the need for protection of and the inclusion of the Bulgarian maritime and land borders with Turkey in the EU-Ankara deal that will be finalized at the next EU Council. This is what Bulgarian Deputy PM and Minister of Education Meglena Kuneva has demanded as she took part in the General Affairs Council in Brussels which is preparing the EU summit on 17 and 18 March. The deputy PM has said that work on solving humanitarian issues should speed up and new standards should be drawn up for EU outer border protection.
