Bulgaria’s President Rossen Plevneliev met with King of Jordan Abdullah ǀǀ bin Al-Hussein during his official visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on Sunday, the press center of the President announced. President Plevneliev and King Abdullah discussed the similar positions of Bulgaria and Jordan on topical regional and international issues as well as the opportunities for closer cooperation between the two countries. Rossen Plevneliev and King Abdullah also agreed that the long-term relations and friendship between Bulgaria and Jordan could boost bilateral political and economic cooperation. President Plevneliev and King Abdullah voiced support towards a more active exchange of information and closer coordination of efforts between the partners in the fight against extremism and radicalization. Rossen Plevneliev and Jordan’s King Abdullah also discussed the neccessity that the Middle East countries should play a bigger role in coping with the migration crisis.
