Bulgaria is strongly interested in the quickest possible solution to the conflict in Syria and in stabilization, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said in his speech during the international forum entitled "Supporting Syria and the Region." PM Borissov expressed the solidarity of Bulgaria with countries that have taken the main burden of providing shelter, food and medical care to the rapidly growing refugee communities, but pointed out that the scale of the crisis required a comprehensive approach. According to him, the maintenance of sustainable economic and social systems in countries neighboring Syria that would provide access to education, work and adequate living conditions for refugees and their families, would create a good opportunity for keeping the refugees close to their homes and would make it possible for their easier return to Syria after a change in the situation there.
