Last night Munich, Germany, hosted the final round of the Let the Peoples Sing International Choral Competition. The Bulgarian women's choir Cosmic Voices led by Vania Moneva won the First Prize in the open category.
The competition was first launched by the BBC in London as a race for British choirs. It later grew to become international and is now organized by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).
The Cosmic Voices Choir was founded and is led by conductor Vania Moneva. Its first version was staffed with leading folk singers of the older generation such as Nadka Karadjova, Pavlina Gorcheva and Boyka Prisadova. The first prize from the prestigious competition is a well-deserved present to the cosmic girls who marked the choir's 20th anniversary in 2014.
