The birth-rate in Bulgaria continues to dwindle, Sega daily alarms. 1,006 babies less were born in the first trimester of 2015, as compared to the same period last year. The total number of the newly-born for the first quarter amounts to 14,622, data of the Bulgarian Ministry of Healthcare show. The birth-rate even declined in the country’s capital Sofia, where a total of 3,628 babies were born during the period, which was 134 less, as compared to the first three months of 2014.

Two gangs robbed EUR 500,000 from ATMs in Bulgaria, 24 Chassa daily informs on its first pages. According to this newspaper, four of the perpetrators are Sofia citizens, which are still wanted by the Police. A Moldova gang is also behind these criminal acts. The state of anxiety always starts during the person’s childhood and is linked with the upbringing of each child, the expert further notes.

The Bulgarian Food Safety Agency conducted a total of 79 tests of genetically modified organisms in 2014, Sega daily informs. Traces of genetically modified organisms were found in 8 cases, but the quantities of GMO were within the permitted limits of 0.9%. That is why the producers are not obliged to provide this information on the food labels, the agency further notes.
