Summer season will be disaster, Bulgarian tourism industry say

Photo: library

The coming summer season in Bulgaria will be the weakest in the past 10-15 years. This is what tour operators expect, as it became clear from a round table on the topic of "Problems and Challenges before Summer 2015", that was held in Varna. The most problematic is the situation on the Russian and Ukrainian markets. So far, hotel bookings by Ukrainian and Russian tourists are 50 percent less in comparison to the past year. Among the problems that were pointed out are visa issues, the lack of advertising, as well as pick-pocketing.
