"Let's find a familiar feeling in unfamiliar music" – this is the invitation offered by the charming singer Vesela Morova with a band of popular Bulgarian jazz musicians. The project they present consists of Brazilian melodies and rhythms. The colorful fiesta under the name Dandalunda will take place on April 11 in Studio 5. Which are the main actors in it and details about the program - we learn from an interview with Vesela Morova talking to RB:
"This is a project for Brazilian music in a wide range, because it is a world of melodies, rhythms and dances. Our program evolves as a mix of styles: bossa nova, samba, jazz, funk... We rely on the music and the show elements. It involves three dancers from Amazonia Dance Project. I think that in order to perceive a certain type of folk music, such as Brazil, you need to feel it visually. And as for the sound the musicians from the band are in charge: Kalin Getchev piano, Alexander Logozarov - guitar, Bobby Petrov - drums, Radoslav Slavchev – bass, Nasko Popov - percussion and Dennis Goev - trumpet. They are very good performers, and what brought us together is jazz. I like to say that in my life and in my projects everything starts from this music. If you can play jazz – you are open to all styles. Of course, it is very important who is on the stage with you. So, for me it was very important to find these musicians. Sincerely, enthusiastically and even with naiveté we enjoy each other and what we do. I believe that both salsa and Cuban music in general have established in Bulgaria in the last ten years, so this will happen also to Brazilian music, in particular Samba. I've always had an affinity for styles influenced by the oldest music – African music. Its rhythms are the basis of Brazilian rhythms, which superimposed make you get lost in a trance”, says Vesela.
