German companies interested in investments in Bulgaria

Deputy Prime Minister responsible for economic development Daniela Bobeva was a special guest at the Bulgarian - German Investment Forum in the headquarters of Deutsche Bank in Berlin. Representatives of over 50 of the biggest German companies from all areas of the economy took part in the forum. Large German companies have expressed strong interest in investing in Bulgaria and those already present in the country, showed intentions to expand their business. Bobeva presented the investment opportunities in Bulgaria in the post-crisis period. The presentation made it clear that at the backdrop of decline in foreign investments in Bulgaria last year German investments have actually increased, reaching nearly 200 million. Since the democratic transition in Bulgaria, German investments in the economy have reached 2.14 billion euros.
