Bulgarians with the least amount of overtime working hours in the EU

Bulgaria is the country in the EU with the fewest additional hours of work, according to Eurostat data published on the occasion of International Workers' Day. In this country, the share of employees who put in additional work at their main workplace and worked a total of 49 or more hours a week, is 0.4%. According to Eurostat data, in 2023, 7.1% of those employed in EU countries worked overtime. Among the EU countries, Greece has the highest share of additional hours of work (11.6%).
